Summer Camp

Leap Ahead Presents A …… for 2013.

L.E.A.P. Ahead Inc. is offering morning camp, afternoon camp, or full day camp options for children with autism and other related disorders. We are accepting age groups 4 to 12 years of age. Our Summer Enrichment Program will include 8 weeks of fun this summer from 6/24/13 through 8/23/13. Our camp will run Monday-Friday. We will be closed July 4th and a discount will be given for this specific week. If you are interested in enrolling your child into Leap Ahead’s Enrichment Program, please fill out our enrollment form. Your application will be reviewed and you will receive a notification if your child has been accepted with 7-10 days.

This year, we are taking 15 children per day (3 groups – 2:5 ratio). Our camp will also have 1-2 neurotypical peers facilitating our campers. All campers will be divided into two to three groups, according to their developmental and cognitive levels. Each camper will have goals that will coincide with their educational IEP and goals that follow their developmental level according to the ABLLS-R & the VB-MAPP. Our goals will also follow the VA SOL’s. All completed work will be sent home with your child at the end of each week of summer camp. Your child’s work samples will be collected in a binder and given to parents at the end of their camp enrollment.

Other Camp Services

Campers will also receive group lessons with a Licensed Speech Pathologist, and a Certified Yoga Specialist. Our Speech Pathologist will teach reciprocal language and building conversation skills, and our Yoga Specialist will teach breathing exercises to regulate emotions, teach calming strategies for managing stress, and fun social exercises.

Lunch/Snack/Food Allergies

Please provide a lunch and/or snack depending on the time you are signing up. Campers staying full day will need a lunch and two small snacks. If you are arriving at noon, please provide a lunch and a small snack. No peanuts allowed due to severe allergies of others in the office.

Leap Ahead Therapy Camp Prices

Morning or afternoon camp (3 hours each day)
$375 per week
Full day camp (6 hours each day)
$575 per week

Late Fee  - A $10.00 late fee is applied to your invoice for every 15 minutes you are late picking up your child. Please understand our therapists have scheduled appointments after camp.

Discounts

  • 5% discount will be given for those who register for 6 weeks (must be full day) or more of camp.

If you cancel a specific day or a week of camp, please provide a 24-hour notice to avoid a $50.00 cancelation fee.
