Leap Ahead’s Play and Social Skills Group

You do not need to be a client of Leap Ahead to join our play and social groups that are held on Saturday’s. However, you will need to email or call the office and request to enroll your child into our therapeutic social groups. We will provide an assessment of your child’s social skills and develop individual goals that are appropriate and achievable for your child.

Children are grouped by age, abilities, and goals are derived from specific social skills curricula developed by well-established practitioners. Our groups consist of 3-5 autistic children and 1-2 typical peers with a Speech Therapist and ABA Therapists facilitating the socialization process and teaching appropriate play skills. In theory, social skills therapy will provide children on the autism spectrum with the ability to converse, share, play, and interact with typical peers.

Our play and social groups are held during the following times on Saturday’s:

10:00-11:30 & 11:30-1:00
