What is the Difference between ABA/VB Therapy?

The ABA approach (proposed by Lovaas) believes receptive language skills should be developed prior to teaching expressive language. The Verbal Behavior approach, however, believes expressive language (mands, tacts, intraverbals) should be taught first. Specifically, mand training should be the initial stages of teaching language skills to children with autism.
